About this role
The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures, fixtures, and other wooden frameworks according to project specifications. This role requires strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on a variety of building and maintenance projects. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project layout and materials required. Carpenters measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. They inspect and replace damaged frameworks while ensuring all work meets quality standards and building codes.
Collaboration with other trades like plumbing, electrical, and painting ensures efficient project completion. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Weekend work may be assigned as needed.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program preferred
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in carpentry, construction, or related field
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, materials, and safety practices
- Ability to operate a variety of power and hand tools safely
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, repair, and maintain wooden structures such as walls, doors, windows, stairs, furniture, and frameworks
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project layout and materials required
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures as needed
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and building codes
- Collaborate with other trades including plumbing, electrical, and painting to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Estimate time, materials, and cost requirements for assigned projects
