YMH is a leading builder of modular dwellings and commercial buildings servicing the Lifestyle, Tourism and Commercial sectors. With facilities in Mulwala NSW and Bendigo VIC, modular buildings are designed and built to the highest standards with a focus on quality. Due to consistent workflow and expanding pipeline, seeking two qualified carpenters for full-time positions with substantial travel.

You will be a confident, detail-oriented individual who is solution focused and ready to thrive in a busy setting. Enjoy a variety of work, changing work environment, and travelling for projects. The role requires ability to travel and stay overnight as needed.

Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects and provide guidance to apprentices when required. Demonstrate strong work ethic, willingness to help others, and work within a team. Take personal pride in quality of work with strong attention to detail.

Contribute to quality improvement and drive for procedure improvements and efficiencies. Meet required deadlines with proven organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads. Confidence to work independently in prefabricated modular building projects.

Requirements

Carpentry trade qualification with minimum of 4 years carpentry experience
Construction Induction Card (White card)
Current Drivers Licence
Own tools
Ability to travel and stay overnight as required
Experience interpreting plans, specifications, and colour selection documents
Physically fit and able to perform physical requirements of the role
Comprehensive knowledge of building methods, processes, and materials

Responsibilities

Take pride in the quality of workmanship
Ensure compliance with the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and Occupational Health & Safety requirements
Maintain clean and organised work areas
Provide guidance and support to apprentices when required
Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects
Complete building activities minimising waste or damage to materials
Inspect products and materials for conformity to operating standards
Organise materials, equipment, and resources to complete construction activities efficiently
