Cardo Group is a leading provider of building maintenance and improvement services to social housing providers across the UK. We deliver retrofit upgrades, responsive repairs, refurbishments, and planned maintenance. We seek a skilled Bricklayer to join our Caerphilly team, constructing and repairing structures with bricks and blocks.

The role involves measuring surfaces, mixing mortar, laying bricks in patterns, cutting materials to fit openings, and using tools to shape them. Repair existing brickwork like walls, chimneys, and buildings. Follow safety procedures while working independently or in a team.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
Knowledge of bricklaying techniques and materials
Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy materials
Attention to detail

Responsibilities

Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with bricks or other materials
Mix mortar and spread it onto surfaces to be covered
Lay bricks or other materials in rows, patterns, or designs
Cut or trim bricks and other materials to fit around windows, doors, and other openings
Use hand and power tools to cut and shape bricks and other materials
Repair and maintain existing brick structures
Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times
