Jacob Sunrooms, Exteriors & Baths is a family-owned company in business since 1977. We seek an experienced carpenter to assist our service department with maintenance on a variety of service calls. The role requires multi-tasking during the day while remaining extremely detail-oriented.

Day-to-day involves handling service calls, troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs on exteriors, sunrooms, and baths. Candidates will bid on repairs by listing needed work, materials, time estimates, and required personnel. Comfort with technology and clear customer explanations are essential.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License
Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal)
Excellent Time Management Skills, with flexibility
Ability to adhere to all company policies/procedures
Carpentry experience (Window & Door installation experience a plus)
Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues
Comfortable with bidding on a repair
Comfortable with technology and customers

Responsibilities

Assist service department with maintenance on a variety of service calls
Multi-task during the day while being extremely detail-oriented
Identify and troubleshoot issues on job sites
Bid on repairs by listing what needs to be done, materials required, expected time, and number of people needed
Install windows and doors as part of carpentry maintenance
Explain clearly to customers what needs to be done and why
Determine warranty vs. non-warranty work
