Lane Valente Industries, a national maintenance and construction firm, is recruiting skilled Journeyman Carpenters willing to travel for full-time commercial construction projects across the United States. Tradespersons handle renovations and buildouts in various locations. The role demands proficiency in key trades with nationwide mobility.

Daily tasks include partition framing with metal or wood studs, installing basic cabinetry, countertops, doors, and windows. Perform interior and exterior painting, along with flooring installations such as VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base. Basic plumbing and electrical work supports comprehensive project completion.

Work in commercial environments requires presentable appearance and customer communication to build relationships. Follow OSHA requirements, document repairs with measurements, pictures, recommendations, and quotes. Basic computer skills aid in reporting and coordination.

Expect overtime, on-call duties, overnight shifts, and extensive travel as needed. Company provides paid travel and per diem. Opportunities include further education, training, and comprehensive benefits like medical insurance and 401-K match.

Requirements

  • Proficient in carpentry including partition framing, cabinetry, countertops, doors, and windows
  • Proficient in interior and exterior painting
  • Proficient in flooring installation: VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing: replacement/installation of sinks, faucets, toilets, drainage, and water lines
  • Basic knowledge of electrical: replacement/installation of light fixtures, switches, outlets, data connections, and minor diagnostics
  • Supply basic construction hand tools
  • OSHA 10hr certification or completion within 3 months of employment
  • Willing to travel and work overnight shifts throughout the United States

Responsibilities

  • Perform commercial renovations and buildouts
  • Frame partitions using metal or wood studs
  • Install basic cabinetry, countertops, doors, and windows
  • Paint interior and exterior surfaces
  • Install VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base flooring
  • Replace or install sinks, faucets, toilets, and basic drainage or water lines
  • Replace or install light fixtures, switches, outlets, and perform basic data connections
