About this role
As a Plasterer working for Mears Group PLC from our Coatbridge branch, you will provide support to void properties served in the North Lanarkshire area. Mears have continued investment in the North Lanarkshire community for the long-term. We have a commitment to deliver excellent services to residents, whilst bringing community and training benefits in a sustainable way.
The successful Plasterer will work from a PDA and receive daily notifications of required jobs. These will either have 1 job a day if a Major works or may be multiple repairs if small jobs like patching around a light switch or light fitting. All works are planned by our internal planning team.
You will be expected to work in a tidy manner and leave properties as you find them. Our ambition is to be recognised as the most trusted, large private provider, working with the public sector by 2025. This is underlined by our strategy, which through robust, ethical and transparent practices is built upon. We are looking for someone who has experience with a variety of plastering works to include coving, ceilings, walls, kitchens and bathrooms, plaster boarding, skimming, repairs and floor screeds.
Requirements
- Core trade in Plastering
- Experience in Building Maintenance
- UK Full driving license
- Customer Focused
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in other trade backgrounds advantageous
- Social housing experience advantageous
Responsibilities
- Provide support to void properties in the North Lanarkshire area
- Receive daily notifications of required jobs via PDA
- Carry out one major job or multiple small repairs such as patching around light switches or fittings
- Perform plastering works including coving, ceilings, walls, kitchens and bathrooms
- Complete plaster boarding, skimming, skim coat plastering, full plastering, repairs and floor screeds
- Work in a tidy manner and leave properties as found
