About this role

Administer projects from start to finish, ensuring BTS installation jobs are completed on time and within budget. Provide complete customer satisfaction with expertise in voice and data cabling. Use electronic cable testing equipment and step in for hands-on assistance to technicians when necessary.

As the link between corporate team and field personnel, demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Purchase equipment and materials as needed, approve invoices for telecommunications systems projects. Manage strong inventory with a high degree of independent judgment to keep projects on track.

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications for telecommunications voice and data requirements. Understand technical documents, architectural plans, floor plans, site survey reports, test plans, and schedules. Handle configuration management to evaluate proposed changes or upgrades to infrastructure.

Supervise and assign multiple crews of cable pullers, installers, and testers across the enterprise. Manage troubleshooting, resolution of voice/data communication installations, upgrades, and problems. Oversee training and certification of employees while remaining detail and safety oriented.

Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years management experience with knowledge of O&M for Cisco VoIP, network systems, and outside and inside plant construction and maintenance
National Security background investigation required, Public Trust
Previous expertise in voice and data cabling and ability to use electronic cable testing equipment
Knowledge of telecommunications industry services, solutions and trends
Strong experience in inventory management
Supervisory experience managing multiple crews
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time, twist, bend and squat periodically
