About this role
Provides skilled general carpentry, cabinet-making, painting, and wall covering services at Geisinger Medical Center. You'll use your craftsmanship to keep facilities safe, functional, and looking their best. Every project supports patient care and the teams delivering it.
Performs general carpentry and cabinet-making for alterations and new construction. Installs drywall, floor and ceiling systems, and handles roof work and masonry tasks when necessary. Prepares surfaces with joint compound, caulking, and sanding.
Applies paints, stains, and varnishes using brushes, rollers, and spray guns. Pastes, applies, trims, and smoothes wall coverings. Sets up scaffolding and ladders for safe usage, then returns areas to working order.
Works nights from 9:00 pm to 5:30 am, 40 scheduled weekly hours in a regular role. Serves as technical resource and team leader to assure quality. Complies with organization policies in a collaborative environment.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) (Required)
- Associate's Degree (Preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience (Required)
- Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

- Prepares all surfaces with joint compound, caulking, and sanding
- Applies paints, stains, and varnishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray guns
- Pastes, applies, trims, and smoothes wall coverings and materials
- Cleans and maintains equipment and systems as required
