We seek a proactive and committed SHEQ Advisor to support growing operations in the renewable energy sector. This role drives a positive Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality culture across wind, solar, and energy infrastructure projects.
The SHEQ Advisor works closely with operational teams to embed safe practices, support audits and inspections, and promote environmental sustainability. Responsibilities include conducting site audits, leading incident investigations, and delivering toolbox talks and inductions. Compliance with UK HSE legislation and industry standards is ensured throughout all developments.

Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)
- Previous experience in a SHEQ role, ideally in renewables, construction or energy sectors
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
- Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and environmental regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence and build strong relationships across project teams
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites
- Experience within the renewables sector (e.g., onshore/offshore wind, solar farms, battery storage)
Responsibilities
- Implement and support the SHEQ strategy across multiple renewable energy projects
- Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and safety walks to monitor compliance
- Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
- Monitor and ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and relevant industry standards
- Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions, and awareness training on SHEQ topics
- Maintain accurate SHEQ records and reports, including risk assessments and method statements
- Support the development and maintenance of ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001)
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure SHEQ alignment across the supply chain
