About this role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Site Manager to join our team. You will lead all on-site activities of a project to assure cost-effective execution of deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements. This covers start-up, construction, erection, commissioning, and maintenance phases.

Plan project on-site activities with the project manager, including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones. Coordinate agreements between customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy. Oversee from receiving the site area to handing over to the end customer on completion day.

Serve as project representative by building effective relationships with customers, authorities, banks, and suppliers for active support of field activities. Manage subcontractors on site to ensure quality and progress meet delivery dates. Control project costs, monitor actual spend against forecasts, and estimate final costs.

Ensure detailed construction Health & Safety plan compliant with Hitachi Energy HSE plan for each work package. Promote health, safety, and environment policy through training of all on-site resources. Live Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical power, electronics & communication
  • 8 to 10 years of project experience in related fields
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, planning skills, ability to work under pressure
  • Able to communicate with people of all levels
  • Ability to boost team morale to achieve goals
  • Proven leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English

Responsibilities

  • Plan project on-site activities with project manager including necessary local resources, equipment and milestones
  • Coordinate agreement between customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization and policy
  • Coordinate all on-site activities from receiving assigned site area to handover, ensuring successful execution of start-up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning
  • Serve as project representative building and maintaining effective relationships with customers, authorities, banks and suppliers
  • Ensure detailed and up-to-date construction Health & Safety plan compliant with Hitachi Energy HSE plan
  • Ensure all on-site resources properly trained on company health, safety and environment policy and promote health and safety
  • Manage subcontractors on site to ensure necessary quality and progress to meet delivery date
  • Control project cost for site work, monitor actual spend against forecasts, and estimate final cost
