The successful candidate will manage one site or a section of a larger site as part of a wider team. This includes safety, health, environmental, quality, programme, resource, commercial and contractual aspects. Candidates must be willing to travel throughout the UK.

Requirements

  • BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering or equivalent in a related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role managing a site or section of a larger site
  • Experience with safety, health, environmental, quality, programme, resource, commercial and contractual aspects
  • Willing to work and travel throughout the UK
  • Previous experience working on marine and/or flood protection projects (desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with current Health and Safety/CDM legislation and responsibilities of all parties
  • Manage site activities in compliance with McLaughlin and Harvey SHEQ policies and procedures
  • Communicate project programme to the supply chain prior to work commencing
  • Monitor progress, update the programme including design and procurement elements
  • Chair subcontractor progress meetings, prepare and circulate minutes
  • Produce weekly and monthly progress reports as appropriate
  • Plan and manage site resources to achieve programme and maintain safe working environment
  • Maintain accurate daily records including site diary for labour, materials, plant and subcontractors
