About this role

The EHS Project Manager Officer supports EHS initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations and driving a culture of safety across the organization. This role manages EHS projects from identification of need to delivery, integrating required functions. It analyzes and reports Environmental, Health, and Safety data to support compliance, performance improvement, and sustainability goals.

Day-to-day tasks include planning, executing, and overseeing EHS projects like safety culture programs, training initiatives, and risk assessments. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet timelines, monitor progress, report milestones, and manage risks. Lead specific projects such as organizing the yearly Calderys Safe.day and improving occupational health assessment tools.

Work closely with operational teams and the EHS community for data collection from incident reports, audits, and monitoring systems. Ensure data integrity through Calderys systems like Evotix and Red-On-Line. Collaborate on risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis using data-driven insights.

Identify trends, provide actionable insights, and recommend improvements to dashboards and KPIs. Assist in developing EHS training materials based on performance trends. Stay updated on best practices and regulatory changes to enhance data processes and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional EHS certification (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, CIH) preferred
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the use of data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of EHS management systems and relevant software applications (e.g., Evotix, Red-On-Line)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and oversee EHS-related projects, including safety culture program implementations, training initiatives, and risk assessments
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines and objectives are met
  • Monitor project progress, report on key milestones, and manage project risks and issues
  • Organize the yearly Calderys Safe.day
  • Improve the Occupational Health assessment tool and animate its use
  • Gather, validate, and organize EHS data from incident reports, safety audits, and environmental monitoring systems
  • Coordinate EHS data collection campaigns through Calderys systems like Evotix and Red-On-Line
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for corrective actions or improvements
