As a Field Construction Manager, you will take the lead in our daily field operations and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will execute project plans and schedules, uphold site safety and quality control, and manage the work of field staff, contractors, and tradespeople. Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects. Maintain working knowledge of reporting and tracking financial aspects of the project.
Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations. Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations. Set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team.

Requirements
- One to three years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent
- Experience in aerial and underground fiber installation methods (Plow and Horizontal Directional Drill, HDD)
- Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
- Strong organizational and planning skills
Responsibilities
- Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
