About this role
Cardo Group is a leading provider of building maintenance and improvement services to social housing providers and public bodies across the UK. With over 1,000 colleagues, we deliver services including retrofit and energy efficiency upgrades, responsive repairs, voids, and disrepair. We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team in Caerphilly.
The successful Bricklayer will construct and repair walls, buildings, chimneys, and structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. Responsibilities involve measuring surfaces, mixing mortar, laying bricks in rows or patterns, and cutting materials to fit openings. Use hand and power tools while following safety procedures at all times.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of bricklaying techniques and materials
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy materials
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with bricks or other materials
- Mix mortar and spread it onto surfaces to be covered
- Lay bricks or other materials in rows, patterns, or designs
- Cut or trim bricks and other materials to fit around windows, doors, and other openings
- Use hand and power tools to cut and shape bricks and other materials
- Repair and maintain existing brick structures
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times
