Reeves Construction Company, a Colas USA subsidiary operating in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Missouri, and Arkansas, seeks a Bridge Carpenter based out of Aiken, SC. This role assists bridge carpenters with construction duties, performs tasks as needed, and ensures timely project completion. Daily work involves physical exertion such as shoveling dirt, sand, asphalt, or concrete, cutting trees with chain saws or power weed trimmers, and driving stakes or breaking concrete with sledge hammers. Handle, stack, and move formwork and materials while keeping the jobsite clean and orderly. Perform shoveling, raking, demolition, and assist with concrete placements, traffic control, and prefabrication tasks.

Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience working in bridge construction or a similar field
- Driving license (preferred)
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
- Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or walk
- Stand and walk frequently; sit occasionally
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Responsibilities
- Assist bridge carpenters with construction duties and perform tasks as needed
- Shovel dirt, sand, asphalt, or concrete using shovels
- Cut or trim trees and vegetation using ditch blades, sling blades, chain saws, or power weed trimmers
- Drive stakes or break concrete using sledge hammers and operate hand-driven compaction devices
- Handle, stack, and move formwork and materials
- Keep jobsite clean and orderly by cleaning and stacking materials not in use
- Perform shoveling, raking, and demolition work as required
- Assist others during concrete placements, traffic control, and prefabrication tasks
