Cardo Group is a leading provider of building maintenance and improvement services to social housing providers across the UK. We deliver retrofit upgrades, responsive repairs, refurbishment, and planned maintenance. Join our Caerphilly team as a skilled Bricklayer to construct and repair structures using bricks and concrete blocks.

Daily tasks include measuring surfaces, mixing mortar, and laying bricks in rows or patterns. Cut and shape materials to fit around openings using hand and power tools. Repair existing brick structures while adhering to safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
Knowledge of bricklaying techniques and materials
Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy materials
Attention to detail
Strong work ethic
Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Responsibilities

Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with bricks or other materials
Mix mortar and spread it onto surfaces to be covered
Lay bricks or other materials in rows, patterns, or designs
Cut or trim bricks and other materials to fit around windows, doors, and other openings
Use hand and power tools to cut and shape bricks and other materials
Repair and maintain existing brick structures
Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times
