The Traveling Superintendent, Site Safety Officer oversees construction project operations from planning to completion.

Oversee all subcontractors to ensure projects finish on time, accurately, with high workmanship, and within budget. Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program on site. Encourage employees, subcontractors, and project team members to adopt safety as a culture.

Manage multiple trades and numerous craft personnel on heavy civil or complex infrastructure projects. Collaborate with project teams while demonstrating integrity consistent with core values. Work effectively with people of various backgrounds in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor
  • Recent role responsible for project site safety and leading demonstrated proactive project site safety efforts
  • Previous experience managing multiple trades and numerous craft personnel
  • Previous experience managing heavy civil projects and/or complex infrastructure projects
  • Previous experience with Federal, State, or DOT contracts and specifications
  • Ability to manage resources including vendors, subcontractors, time, and prioritize tasks for tight deadlines
  • Understand structural design and intent, read blueprints, and execute contract documents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to adapt to construction technologies like Microsoft Office, ProCore
