We are seeking an ambitious and innovative SHE Advisor to join our team and provide support across sites in the South West and South Coast. This role allows the successful person to make a demonstrable impact within a world-leading organisation which maintains a family feel.

You will implement company-wide SHE strategies and policies while maintaining operational compliance with the environmental permit. Ensure the integrated management system is effective and act as the site expert on SHE related topics. Identify high hazard activities, oversee SHE training, and conduct incident investigations with Root Cause Analysis.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in a leadership role with excellent communication skills
  • Degree level qualifications in Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Science/Management preferred; minimum certificate level
  • Root cause analysis skills and experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Natural communicator comfortable dealing with people of all levels
  • Natural team player

Responsibilities

  • Implement company-wide SHE strategies and policies
  • Maintain operational compliance with the environmental permit
  • Ensure the integrated management system is effective
  • Act as the site expert on SHE related topics
  • Serve as SHE point of focus for EA/HSE visits/audits
  • Identify high hazard activities and ensure controls in place
  • Oversee SHE training requirements, priorities and implementation
  • Conduct incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis
