Cardo Group is a leading provider of building maintenance and improvement services to social housing providers across the UK. We deliver retrofit upgrades, responsive repairs, refurbishment, and planned maintenance aligned to the Decent Homes Standard. Join our expanding team of over 1,000 colleagues as a skilled Bricklayer in Caerphilly.

The role involves constructing and repairing walls, buildings, chimneys, and structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. Daily tasks include measuring surfaces, mixing mortar, laying bricks in patterns, cutting materials to fit openings, and using hand and power tools. You will also repair existing brick structures while following safety procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
Knowledge of bricklaying techniques and materials
Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy materials
Attention to detail

Responsibilities

Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with bricks or other materials
Mix mortar and spread it onto surfaces to be covered
Lay bricks or other materials in rows, patterns, or designs
Cut or trim bricks and other materials to fit around windows, doors, and other openings
Use hand and power tools to cut and shape bricks and other materials
Repair and maintain existing brick structures
Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times
