About this role

Enterprise Precast Concrete is the nation’s premier provider of high quality architectural precast components for decades. They offer products from architectural panels and custom fabrication to site furnishings and design/build consultation. The carpenter works with the Carpenter Foreman on fabrication and setup of forms for all precast concrete products in the plant.

Utilizes approved piece tickets to construct forms for specific precast concrete panels in conformance with architectural specifications and PCI requirements. Meets regularly with the Carpenter Foreman to discuss anticipated production sequences and potential form construction problems. Provides input on improvement of work processes and workflow.

Provides information to the Carpenter Foreman on inventory status of form-related materials for timely ordering. Properly maintains tools and utilizes appropriate safety guards. Manages carpentry workload while functioning as a team player.

Comes to work regularly and on time per company policy. Maintains plant safety in accordance with Company Safety Manual under Plant Safety Coordinator direction. Performs miscellaneous carpentry work as directed by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent general carpentry experience
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and specifications
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and piece tickets
  • Experience constructing forms for precast concrete products
  • Knowledge of PCI requirements for precast fabrication

Responsibilities

  • Utilize approved piece tickets to construct forms for specific precast concrete panels per architectural specifications and PCI requirements
  • Meet regularly with Carpenter Foreman to discuss production sequences, potential form construction problems, and work process improvements
  • Provide Carpenter Foreman with inventory status of form-related materials for timely ordering
  • Properly maintain tools and utilize appropriate safety guards
  • Manage carpentry workload for self
  • Come to work regularly and on time per company policy
  • Function as a team player
  • Maintain plant safety per Company Safety Manual and Plant Safety Coordinator direction
