Responsible for project administration of all current and future installations of Fire, Security, CCTV, Card Access, and other specialty systems. Coordinate with respective management team to oversee documentation, site visits, safety programs, and compliance. Execute manpower reports and change orders to drive customer satisfaction and profitability.

Participate in meetings with contracts administration, field supervision, and engineering departments to review ongoing projects. Assist with construction schedules for timely installation and certification testing. Update project log tracking start dates, completion dates, man hours, submittals, and system types.

Requirements

  • Must have industry, security/fire, and project management experience
  • Technically inclined, computer literate, good written and verbal communication skills, energetic, self-motivated, dependable under little or no supervision, with job stability and eagerness to learn
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project (or similar), Word, and Excel
  • Past experience in construction field or knowledgeable in fire alarm/security industry
  • Troubleshooting skills, knowledge of local and national fire alarm systems and inspections experience
  • Certifications in Regulation No. 4, EST3, NICET, PMP, State Certification are a plus
  • Able to handle general physical activity in construction field, including lifting and carrying up to 50lbs with considerable bending and stooping

Responsibilities

  • Administer project administration for installations of Fire, Security, CCTV, Card Access, and other specialty systems, coordinating with management team
  • Oversee documentation between contracts administrator and sales representative to consummate engineering requirements
  • Supervise documentation of project site visits, telephone communications, RFIs, letter of transmittals, permits, fees, and final closeouts
  • Ensure required safety programs are implemented to prevent injuries and maintain compliance on projects
  • Execute monthly manpower backlog reports to support proper manpower loading, customer satisfaction, and gross profit margins
  • Implement required change orders on projects to achieve significant gross profit
  • Participate in meetings with contracts administration, field supervision, and engineering to review ongoing projects
  • Assist with construction schedule requirements for installation completion and final certification testing
