Requirements
- Ability to perform advanced carpentry duties independently
- Proficiency in reading architectural plans and specifications
- Valid driver's license for travel to construction sites
- Knowledge of carpentry tools and safety practices
- Experience developing work plans from blueprints
- Skill in framing, finishing, and repair work
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance in institutional settings
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced carpentry duties with only general supervision
- Drive to and from construction sites or UAMS Main Campus
- Independently read and understand architectural plans and specifications
- Develop work plans based on plans and specifications
- Install and repair wooden structures and fixtures
- Construct partitions, doors, and trim work
- Maintain and repair campus facilities carpentry needs
- Execute finishing carpentry for clinical maintenance areas
