About this role

Full-time Carpenter/Maintenance Representative for condominium management company with properties in Hartford, New Haven, and Middlesex Counties. Applicant must be Hartford or Tolland County based. Responsible for preventive, responsive, emergency, and routine maintenance primarily in Hartford County region, with travel to surrounding towns.

Routine services include painting, sheet rock repair, cleaning, siding repair, light masonry work, gutter cleaning, light bulb replacements, and general carpentry. Handle all maintenance requests efficiently and professionally. Provide prompt response to work orders via employer-provided smartphone, email, and other applications.

Work independently as well as in a group setting. Collaborate with office to discuss questions and concerns regarding work orders, and request additional help from another maintenance representative or third-party vendor. Make arrangements and appointments with unit owners for unit access as needed.

Meet with and oversee third-party vendors. Respond to and handle emergency situations after hours when on call. Purchase supplies with company card using own vehicle, arrange deliveries, provide paid receipts, and maintain records.

Maintain maintenance logs of work completed daily with descriptions and track hours per company requirements. Be available to staff via email and phone during business hours. Prior property maintenance experience preferred but not required.

Requirements

  • Maintenance: 1 year (Required)
  • Property maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Reliable personal automobile (fully insured)
  • Own set of hand tools
  • Reliable truck or van
  • Hartford or Tolland County based
  • Available Monday to Friday with on-call emergency rotation

  • Coordinate with office on work orders, questions, concerns, and request help from other representatives or vendors
  • Arrange appointments with unit owners for unit access per work orders
