About this role
Stream-Flo Industries seeks a Junior Health Safety Environment Advisor to assist in maintaining the ongoing development, implementation, and effectiveness of the Company Health and Safety Management System. Ensure all safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are followed while advising managers and employees on relevant safe work standards and practices. This role supports compliance with governing bodies in a manufacturing environment focused on wellhead and valve equipment.
Day-to-day involves evaluating work activities for potential hazards, ensuring adequate controls, and leading site inspections, hazard assessments, safety meetings, and field audits. Review FLRAs, JHAs, and pre-use reports, while assisting in organizing safety training sessions and providing guidance on health and safety topics. Assess safe work practices for regulatory compliance.
Collaborate on incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions, coordinate internal and external audits of the SFI HSE management system, and develop Joint Work Site Health & Safety Committees. Promote safe work practices to foster a strong safety culture and comply with all formal communication and reporting expectations. Work independently in a team-oriented setting at a leader in innovative designs since 1962.
Grow through project work and other related duties as assigned, with opportunities to travel as necessary. Build expertise in HSE while contributing to superior technology and top-quality products in the Canadian manufacturing sector. Advance safety initiatives in a privately owned company committed to excellence.
Requirements
- Working towards or completion of a recognized OH&S certificate program
- Standard First Aid with CPR level C Certificate
- Minimum of 2+ years of HSE experience
- Strong analytical, communication (oral and written), and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); knowledge of SharePoint an asset
- The ability to travel as necessary
