About this role
ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Hangar Large Application Doors (HLAD) in Peachtree City, Georgia seeks a QEHS Manager with the Drive for Excellence in Quality, Safety & Sustainability. Lead and oversee all quality processes within Manufacturing, Supply Chain Operations, Sales Companies, and Installation. Utilize ISO 9001, ISO 14001, TQM, and continuous improvement to install a total quality culture throughout the organization.
Report to the President/GM of HLAD, North America, based in Peachtree City, GA, with up to 25% travel. Drive claim handling and corrective actions while working hands-on on the shopfloor to improve quality procedures, standards, and specifications. Coach manufacturing and sales on ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 certification.
Work closely with Plant Manager and production team to ensure process compliance, healthy safety culture, and consistent product quality. Actively lead Safety Committee, including monthly meetings, accident and near miss investigations, and required reporting. Collaborate with Sales Companies for accurate information flow and professional issue resolution.
Monitor performance through KPI development and publishing, while supporting as Epicor/ERP administrator. Operate in a manufacturing/industrial environment with some dust and noise, requiring mobility, standing/walking, and bending throughout the facility. Set high standards in a matrix organization with strong business and commercial focus.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or industrial science, with excellent understanding of quality management practices or equivalent experience
- Proven experience leading a Quality Organization in a Manufacturing/Engineering organization
- Experience working in a matrix organization
- Experience leading and driving ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
- Strong self-drive with balance between strategic long-term thinking and short-term operational actions
- Ambitious doer, strong hands-on, who gets things done and sets high standards
- Strong Business and Commercial focus to understand the voice of customers
Responsibilities
- Improve Company's Quality procedures, standards and specifications by being visible at the shopfloor and action in a hands-on manner
- Drive and own the entire claim handling and corrective action process
- Work with local functions and set Quality standards throughout the group
- Coach and support manufacturing and sales regarding ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 certification
- Work closely with Plant Manager and production team to ensure process compliance, healthy safety culture and consistent product quality
- Actively lead Safety Committee including monthly meetings, accident and near miss investigations and all required reporting
