About this role
Acquire and apply knowledge of Perry Homes construction procedures for the Phase II process, from sheetrock tape and float to home completion. Perform warranty service according to Company procedures. Ensure high standards across multiple jobsites in home building.
Coordinate various independent contractors over multiple jobsites daily. Order construction materials and monitor their quantity and quality along with completed tasks. Manage time under construction, direct overhead costs, budget variances, and change orders effectively.
Work closely with Project Manager, Vice President of Construction, Division President, independent contractors, and homeowners. Communicate and negotiate professionally both verbally and in writing. Uphold Perry Homes quality standards and local building codes.
Handle multiple concurrent tasks under extreme time constraints on short notice. Focus on critical success factors like construction supervision and customer service. Perform other tasks as assigned to support division operations.
Grow through competencies in project management, time management, organizational skills, and initiative. Build relationships while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced construction environment. Advance within Perry Homes' structured procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Relevant management or leadership experience
- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively and professionally with independent contractors and homeowners, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to complete tasks on short notice under extreme time constraints and handle multiple concurrent tasks
- Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, reports, correspondence, blueprints, construction plans, plats and development plans
- Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Fundamental knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations
- Current, valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
