The Plant Operator position at Cargill involves managing daily facility operations at the Rycroft site. The role centers on receiving and shipping agricultural products including fertilizer, chemicals, seed, and grain while maintaining equipment reliability.
Day-to-day work includes performing basic maintenance and operator care on facility equipment. Operators also deliver customer service and follow all established safety policies to support continuous operations in industrial and agricultural environments.
The position requires working in varied weather conditions and elevated areas above four feet. Candidates must handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally along with bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting.
Successful operators demonstrate basic computer skills and clear English communication. A valid Canadian Class 5 driver’s licence may be needed to support independent driving during employment.
Requirements
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs occasionally, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic use of a computer
- Must be able to work in various weather, industrial and agricultural settings
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- May require a valid Canadian full class 5 driver’s licence in good standing
