About this role

The Utility Infrastructure team designs, builds, and maintains critical water, energy, power, and telecoms infrastructure for the UK’s largest network owners. As SHEQ Advisor, provide invaluable health and safety support to teams on critical water projects in the North East.
Undertake periodic risk assessments and implement more robust procedures when necessary. Provide specialist SHEQ advice to colleagues and subcontractors. Ensure contracts are compliant and positive behaviours are embedded in day-to-day works of operational teams.

Requirements
- NEBOSH Certificate
- Considerable relevant construction SHE water industry experience
- Experience of working on civil/utilities projects
- Good inter-personal skills with proven skills in coaching and motivating people
- Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all organisational levels
- Experienced in auditing and root cause analysis techniques
- Good understanding of CDM Regulations specifically in relation to Client, Principal Designer and Principal Contractor roles
- Current full UK driving license
Responsibilities

- Coach and motivate people with good inter-personal skills
- Communicate and influence effectively at all organisational levels including Senior Managers
- Develop and deliver training/briefing material in an innovative and effective way
- Conduct auditing and root cause analysis techniques
- Recommend preventative action and co-ordinate implementation of new initiatives
