About this role

We're looking for an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to join our Civil Construction team on the SH1 P2D (Stage 1B) project. This staged upgrade improves SH1 travel reliability, access, and safety, including 6km of three-laned motorway, six new bridges, and interfacing local roads. Leadership is key to success, supported by excellent communication and organisational skills. Maintain an eye for detail and think on the spot to resolve operational issues. Actively perform duties alongside the team using machinery and hand tools.

Lead and coordinate daily activities of carpenters, apprentices, and labourers. Attend and contribute to daily pre-start and toolbox meetings. Allocate tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress against the programme while preventing rework through precise checks.
