We’re looking for a driven, field based, National Site Manager to join our successful team covering the southern regions at Portakabin. There will still be national travel.

You will be an experienced Site Manager who thrives being on the road, going to different site locations with an extensive career journey as a site manager travelling nationally. You will ensure successful management of designated site activities to achieve programme, cost, quality and safety objectives. Manage a variety of construction operations consistently achieving project goals.

Lead and motivate the site team and the supply chain to deliver the project ensuring roles and responsibilities are clear. Manage client expectations adopting a professional and considerate approach to maintain good working relations. Support the pre-construction team in developing site logistics and site access strategies.

Plan, organise and maintain appropriate site welfare requirements and site logistics. Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management completing all necessary activities. Thrive in a field-based role with national travel Monday to Friday requiring a full UK driving license.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of successful delivery of projects
  • Proven track record working as Principal Contractor
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving project goals
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a variety of construction operations
  • Takes responsibility for actions, projects and people
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Confident decision making and influencing skills
  • Exceptional organisation and planning skills
  • Full UK driving license

Responsibilities

  • Support the pre-construction team in developing site logistics and site access strategies
  • Plan, organise and maintain appropriate site welfare requirements and site logistics
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management completing all necessary health and safety activities and implementing Safe Systems of Work
  • Manage the site ensuring the work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality by effectively organising and managing site activities
  • Manage client expectations and adopt a professional and considerate approach to maintain good working relations
  • Lead and motivate the site team and the supply chain to deliver the project and ensure roles and responsibilities are clear
