About this role
Bechtel provides project and contract management services to Western Power on the Clean Energy Link Project – North Project. This strengthens the power network north of Perth to connect greater renewable energy supply for decarbonisation. Join an integrated team on this exciting capital works program upgrading 132 kV and 330 kV lines with new terminal construction.
As Deputy Package Manager reporting to the Package Manager, assist leading delivery of assigned packages by coordinating engineering, field operations, project controls, customer stakeholders, and Principal Contractor team. Provide guidance on constructability, planning, execution, and delivery. Contribute to construction design decisions and facilitate interdisciplinary reviews.
Support project staffing and execution planning while taking a lead role developing a team to establish project goals, milestones, priorities, metrics, and execution plans. Monitor construction performance, compliance, and deliverables. Ensure safety, sustainability, quality, and customer requirements fully integrate into project delivery.
Drive continuous improvement through proactive performance monitoring, customer feedback, and project assessments. Apply innovative solutions contributing to customer satisfaction and future business development. Work with extraordinary teams building inspiring projects across infrastructure, energy, mining, and metals markets.
Requirements
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams in construction projects
- Knowledge of constructability programs and processes
- Familiarity with project controls, planning, and execution in capital works
- Ability to facilitate interdisciplinary reviews and contribute to design decisions
- Skills in monitoring construction performance and compliance
- Understanding of integrating safety, quality, sustainability into project delivery
- Proficiency in developing execution plans and metrics for construction packages
- Background working with Principal Contractors and customer stakeholders
