The Senior Project Manager role focuses on civil infrastructure including water and wastewater utilities, stormwater, and land development projects. Candidates will plan and organize workload while demonstrating success with teams and commitment to quality.

This position involves planning, design, and construction management of land and site development, water/wastewater infrastructure, and stormwater projects. Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, communications, resources, and risks to optimize client service and fiscal responsibility. Handle project outlines, initiation, schedules, execution, and closeout, including specification and contract preparation with permitting and stakeholder involvement.

Day-to-day activities include managing client and project teams, interfacing with multi-disciplinary design teams across Florida offices, and achieving objectives for quality, scopes, budgets, and schedules. The role requires travel and coordination with professionals from other offices. ChenMoore promotes a fun and flexible work environment with a team-oriented approach inside and outside the office.

Mentor engineering staff and assist in marketing opportunities with key clients, developing RFP/RFQ responses. Develop and maintain business relationships as part of ongoing efforts. Participate in local water and wastewater professional organizations to contribute to community improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering; master’s degree is a plus
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida required
  • 8+ years of relevant experience preferred; less experienced candidates considered

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and manage construction of civil engineering projects including land and site development, water/wastewater infrastructure, and stormwater projects
  • Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, communications, resources, and risks to optimize client service and fiscal responsibility
  • Prepare project outlines, initiate projects, develop schedules, execute, and close out projects
  • Lead specification and contract document preparation including permitting and stakeholder involvement
  • Manage day-to-day activities of project engagements including clients and project teams
  • Interface with multi-disciplinary design teams and achieve project objectives for quality, scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Mentor engineering staff
  • Assist in marketing business opportunities, develop RFP/RFQ responses, and maintain client relationships
