Stantec seeks motivated individuals to manage projects in our successful Water business in the Pacific Northwest region. Responsibilities include leading exceptional teams to deliver successful projects for clients. Engage internally with staff at all levels and externally with clients, regulatory agencies, and subconsultants.

Requirements

  • Experienced in organizing, planning, and executing projects from pursuit through closeout, involving internal personnel, subconsultants, and vendors
  • Ability to make sound defensible business decisions, and identify, assess, evaluate, and solve complex problems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for team building and collaboration
  • Minimum 12 years’ relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years of experience managing projects
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or related technical discipline

Responsibilities

  • Lead exceptional teams to deliver successful projects for clients in the Water business
  • Develop and manage the approved scope, budget, and schedule on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Establish project objectives, procedures and performance standards, and lead multi-disciplinary teams on proposals, planning studies, feasibility through final designs, and construction services
  • Identify appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives and manage contract terms, tracking costs and schedule
  • Actively support proposal pricing strategies, cost proposal preparation, contract legal and risk reviews, and related marketing efforts
  • Embrace Stantec’s internal policies and practices, including risk management, project management, and quality management
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with clients, approval agencies and industry professionals by providing exceptional service
  • Provide mentoring and training for future leaders and promote collaboration across business lines and geographies
