Veolia, a multinational environmental services group, seeks a Project Manager for La Marina in Barcelona for its Ecoenergies Barcelona subsidiary. The role involves connecting new residential, commercial, and tertiary clients to the district cooling and heating network in La Marina del Prat Vermell. It includes conducting technical-commercial studies for promoters and managing assigned projects from inception through post-sale client follow-up.

Daily tasks encompass preparing economic offers to promoters of residential, commercial, and tertiary buildings, coordinating projects end-to-end, and handling supply contracts for heat and cold. Responsibilities also include liaising with public administrations like IMU, IMHAB, and Agencia de la Energia for periodic meetings, plus contacting promoters, architects, and engineering firms to advance connections.

The position requires reviewing consumption projections, supervising external engineering firms for network extensions, advising on secondary circuit designs, and elaborating viability studies with avoided cost analyses. Post-connection duties involve ensuring compliance with Ecoenergies technical guide and managing relations with clients, owners' communities, and property administrators.

Work occurs in a multidisciplinary environment within the Development Area of Ecoenergies, reporting directly to the Development Director with support from Veolia Catalunya's technical office team. Monthly reporting of technical-commercial activities is essential. The role offers a structured schedule with telework flexibility.

Requirements

  • Experience in technical-commercial studies for building promoters in energy network connections
  • Knowledge of district heating and cooling systems and building integration
  • Familiarity with Barcelona urban planning administrations and coordination processes
  • Proficiency in reviewing engineering calculations for energy consumptions and powers
  • Skills in managing external engineering firms for network infrastructure projects
  • Ability to conduct economic viability analyses and present cost comparisons to clients
  • Understanding of post-sale client management for communities of owners and property administrators

Responsibilities

  • Prepare economic offers to promoters of residential, commercial, and tertiary buildings and coordinate projects from start to finish
  • Coordinate with public administrations (IMU, IMHAB, Agencia de la Energia, Ayuntamiento de Barcelona) through periodic meetings
  • Contact promoters, architects, and engineering firms for commercialization and development of Ecoenergies network connections
  • Collect and analyze technical and economic data, reviewing calculations, projections, and simulations of consumptions and powers
  • Manage and supervise external network engineering firms for quoting technical solutions, network extensions, and new connections
  • Advise promoters and architects on client secondary circuit design, including community installations and individual modules
  • Elaborate technical-economic viability studies, including avoided cost analyses and commercial offers in collaboration with DT
  • Supervise compliance with Ecoenergies technical guide during project phases and follow up with residential, tertiary, and commercial clients
