The construction manager ensures smooth and successful contract fulfillment after the design phase. Candidates need experience with HVAC/mechanical systems, commercial construction, and strong communication skills.

Pre-construction activities include reviewing project drawings for scope, constructability, and cost savings, assisting with subcontractor selection, and managing the bid process. During construction, develop schedules, administer safety programs, lead review meetings, and track financials. Post-construction involves resolving issues, warranties, and developing O&M manuals.

The support team includes administrative staff, other construction managers, engineers, and design members. On-site presence is required during heavy construction, with office or remote work possible otherwise. Travel to job sites is required.

Responsibilities

  • Review project drawings for scope, constructability, and cost savings
  • Assist with subcontractor selection and manage the bid process
  • Develop construction schedule and manage subs to hit required milestones
  • Administer safety program and develop project safety binder
  • Lead construction review meetings and document weekly field reports
  • Review subcontractor pay applications and track project financials
  • Assist with commissioning, address M&V items, and schedule owner training
  • Resolve warranty issues and develop O&M manuals and as-builts
