About this role
Moehl Millwork, an employee-owned distributor of millwork products, seeks a Finish Carpenter I to install windows and doors according to manufacturer specifications. Perform interior and exterior trim carpentry while reading blueprints and installation instructions. Join our team serving Iowa lumber dealers and Des Moines contractors as part of Building Material Distributors.
Daily tasks include safely operating hand and power tools like saws, drills, routers, and sanders. Load and unload materials, prepare job sites, and complete installation paperwork. Provide professional customer-facing service while following all safety guidelines and PPE requirements in varied indoor and outdoor environments.

Requirements
- 1–3+ years of carpentry or window/door installation experience (preferred)
- Strong trim carpentry and finish skills (preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical instructions (preferred)
- Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Commitment to safety (pass a pre-employment physical and drug test)
- Perform heavy physical demands, lift up to 100lbs occasionally, frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
