About this role
At Clune Construction, the Assistant Project Manager works with the Project Management team on the planning, coordination, and completion of construction projects. Core duties include assisting in many phases from budgeting, bidding, cost control, client relations, through closeout. Join a team of driven, collaborative individuals who deliver exceptional work.
Take ownership of the RFI process and submittal process. Actively participate in the creation of accurate and timely budgets and bids. Develop knowledge and understanding of project cost controls while owning project documentation.
Actively participate in project meetings and take the lead and document OAC meetings. Provide heavy coordination with superintendent and project manager, including frequent site visits to monitor onsite progress. Distribute drawings, sketches, shop drawings, submittals, schedules and punchlists to subcontractors and site superintendent.
Own the closeout package process and become proficient in Clune established systems and technology. Serve as an ambassador for Clune’s safety culture and OSHA standards. As an employee-owned company, invest in career development through mentoring, learning programs, and share in success.
Requirements
- Critical thinker, problem solver and can make independent decisions
- Ability to identify and resolve complex issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for discussions with Clune team, trade partners, designers and clients
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
- Understanding of team roles and responsibilities
- Familiarity with construction project phases including budgeting, bidding, and closeout
- Knowledge of RFI, submittal, and documentation processes in tenant improvement projects
Responsibilities
- Role model professionally for Interns, Project Engineers, Senior Project Engineers, and new APMs
- Own the RFI process
- Own the submittal process
- Actively participate in the creation of accurate and timely budgets and bids
