About this role

Maas Energy Works (MEW) is the leading developer and operator of on-farm waste-to-energy systems in the United States. The Construction Manager III provides office-based support for industrial-agricultural projects including pipelines, earthwork, pond installation, structures, concrete, mechanical, and electrical. Works closely with office and field staff to ensure high quality outcomes and good relationships with partners.

Oversee project construction sites to ensure they are designed, prepared, and built to satisfaction. Troubleshoot issues, delays, and conflicts with contractors and engineers. Coordinate and schedule construction tasks across multiple sites.

Communicate effectively via email, text, and phone with supervisor, project team members, contractors, engineers, customers, and business partners. Build and maintain strong working relationships with contractors and dairy owners. Assist project team with design reviews, cost estimates, and contractor onboarding.

Learn extensive industry-specific jargon and grasp dairy digester development requirements. Excel in written and spoken communication to coordinate various contractors on multiple sites. There is no manual for this job; we are writing it every day.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in Construction or Construction Management
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and P&IDs
  • Analytical thinker and self-starter
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient English speaking required
  • Basic computing and Microsoft Office skills required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project construction sites, ensuring that construction is designed, prepared and built to satisfaction
  • Troubleshoot issues, delays, and/or conflicts with contractors and engineers
  • Coordinate and schedule construction tasks
  • Effectively communicate via email, text, and phone with the supervisor, project team members, contractors, engineers, customers, and business partners
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with various contractors and dairy owners
  • Assist the project team with design and constructability reviews to identify issues early and improve build quality
  • Support the project team in developing and reviewing cost estimates to inform budgeting and procurement decisions
  • Identify, vet, and onboard new contractors and subcontractors, including reference checks, capability assessments, and qualification reviews

Benefits

  • Salary range $95,000-$135,000; Commensurate to Skills and Experience
  • Full-time: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
  • Some travel expected; an average of 4-5 days per month
  • Office-based at Corporate Headquarters (may vary)
