About this role

Hold overall responsibility for all aspects of small/medium sized construction project management. This includes plans review for technical completeness, schedule development/review/approval, environment of care compliance, and construction effectiveness. Manage communication with user departments, budget oversight, contingency management, contractor supervision, and construction quality assurance.

Assist with construction quality assurance and compliance for all other projects under management at CNMC. Develop staffing plans/schedules and resources to optimize productivity. Work with administrative coordinator to maintain schedules, budgets, contracts, and user group communications.

Supervise internal employees and third-party contractors using project management software. Participate in developing architectural programs for customer departments. Help design efficient work systems and assume direct responsibility for small/medium projects once design is completed.

Provide training and developmental opportunities for staff while assisting the Director with large projects. Demonstrate proven ability to manage jobs on time and within budget. Leverage in-depth knowledge of construction means and methods to solve job site problems and coordination issues.

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering or other construction related field or equivalent experience
  • 7 years increasing project management supervision and quality assurance
  • Experience creating project schedules and supervising construction trades using project management software
  • Proven ability to manage construction jobs on time and within budget
  • Excellent communication skills in contract compliance/supervision and user expectation management
  • In-depth knowledge of construction means and methods with proven problem-solving ability
  • Intermediate word processing skills and ability to write effective business letters
  • Intermediate Excel spreadsheet skills
