About this role

The Wood Shop carpenter cuts and shapes materials to achieve the desired appearance for each panel. They also fabricate the blank-out material used within the panels. Safety is our highest priority, built on mutual respect, care, and accountability.

Requirements

Ability to read and comprehend pour sheets
Proficiency in operating table saws, band saws, miter saws, and pneumatic nail guns
Skill in cutting and shaping insulation, blank-out materials, and nailers
Experience assembling wood components for forms and bulkheads
Knowledge of sealing wood forms and creating custom blanks or notches
Capability to prepare materials, set up beds, and drill holes in wood forms
Commitment to safe tool operation and workplace safety practices

Responsibilities

Read and comprehend pour sheets
Cut insulation and blank-out material for panels, as well as nailers for each pour
Operate table saws, band saws, miter saws, pneumatic nail guns, and other tools safely and efficiently
Cut and assemble wood components to construct forms and bulkheads for structural and architectural projects
Seal wood forms when required and create special blanks or notches for projects
Prepare materials and set up beds, including drilling holes into wood forms
Assist with or direct special form build-ups as needed
