Join our Refractory Service team at Port Kembla Manufacturing facility as a Refractory Installation Bricklayer.
The Refractory Service team delivers integrated services including development, sourcing, installation, and delivery of refractory solutions. This ensures security, reliability, and availability of operational refractory lined units. In this highly physical role, contribute to refractory installation services with focus on people safety, material quality, and installation reliability.
Work alongside an experienced team of refractory bricklayers and installers. Currently, the role involves Monday to Friday, 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off roster. Gain access to our Employee Well-Being Program plus other company perks and discounts.

Requirements
- Certificate III in Bricklaying
- Commitment to the safety of yourself and others
- High attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a highly physical environment
- Ability to work independently while contributing to the greater team’s success
- Developed communication skills for building constructive and effective relationships
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a safe working environment, ensuring safety standards are never compromised
- Reline ladles and vessels for iron and steel making using bricklaying and other refractory installation techniques
- Carry out refractory installation and repairs of Blast Furnace troughs
- Spray refractory materials using gunning techniques
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes following internal and external training
