About this role
We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Bricklayer to join our growing team, supporting a busy Void contract in Leeds. This is a practical, hands-on role focused on delivering a wide range of bricklaying duties within occupied social housing properties. Take pride in your craft, work efficiently, and consistently deliver high-quality results from the outset.
Day-to-day tasks involve building new brick walls, restoring damaged brickwork, and repointing to improve structural integrity. You'll mix mortar, cut bricks to size, and interpret construction plans for accurate alignment. Coordinate with other trades while maintaining tools and adhering to safe practices in occupied properties.

Requirements
- Experienced in bricklaying and confident in carrying out all listed duties
- Previous experience working within social housing environments
- Strong customer service skills, with a professional and respectful approach
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to set out and level courses for accurate alignment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations on-site
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
Responsibilities
- Build new brick walls
- Restore damaged or deteriorated brickwork
- Identify and repair cracks or fractures in walls to prevent further damage
- Render full walls
- Mix and apply mortar or adhesives to bind bricks and blocks
- Cut bricks or blocks to size using hand or power tools
- Repoint brickwork to improve appearance and structural integrity
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
