About this role

The Project Manager acts as the one point of contact for customers during the new equipment warranty timeframe. This role involves working with Konecranes global warranty teams, engineering, and sales to provide continual updates to New Equipment BU heads. Everything is done with passion and drive in a diverse environment where all can be themselves.

Day-to-day tasks include reading customer projects from initiation to handover and facilitating all communication and work execution. Travel to customer sites occurs for kickoff meetings, work checks, and handover meetings. Internal kickoff and post-mortem meetings are initiated and led with key stakeholders.

Generate service requests and work packages, assign them to field operatives, and review job costs like labor, expenses, and materials. Ensure open orders are scheduled effectively, maximizing direct labor per company guidelines. Procure materials, parts, and subcontract labor while processing related paperwork.

Resolve customer complaints within guidelines and elevate unresolved issues promptly. Participate in monthly Rush Reporting on forecasted sales and Percentage-of-Completion jobs. Follow all safety rules, including customer-established procedures, supporting project success in ports solutions.

Requirements

  • Customer-oriented with well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed communication skills
  • Well-developed PC skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Technical Associate’s degree or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2-3 years planning or executing customer projects preferred
  • Technical understanding of equipment

  • Review job costs such as labor, expense and materials before invoicing
  • Execute work plan, material requirements, and travel accommodations for assigned projects
  • Assist technicians with identification of required repair parts and procure materials
  • Resolve customer complaints within established guidelines
