About this role
The Site Agent plans, directs, and organizes the construction team, including Sub Agent, Senior Foreman, Foreman, and Assistant Foreman, to execute works per approved method statements and programmes. Collaborates with the project manager to plan subcontractors’ manpower resources and equipment. Ensures overall project delivery aligns with budget, schedule, and quality standards.
Prepares short-term working programmes and supervises subcontractors for implementation. Reviews resource needs, examines method statements with risk assessments considering site constraints for efficient operations. Monitors material wastage, construction sequences, equipment use, electricity, and water to minimize losses and double handling.
Arranges progress meetings, reviews daily reports, daywork, and abortive work records. Enforces safety regulations, precautionary measures, and quality plans while directing subordinates. Works with Compliance Department for inspections and self-checking per approved Quality and Safety Plans.
Liaises with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to foster close partnerships. Assists in compiling data for claims with time and cost implications. Organizes site setup, applies for equipment, inspects materials and work for contract compliance, and performs TCP responsibilities.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Building Studies, Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent
- TCP T1 or above
- At least 15 years’ relevant site experience in building construction with 5 years or more as Sub-Agent or above
