About this role

The Master Plasterer applies base and finished-grade coatings to EIFS, Federlite panels, and pre-base-coated shapes for job sites. This role covers meshing, cutting, sanding, hand coating with a trowel, and all fabrication duties in panel operations. Depending on experience, create quality work instructions and internal training programs.

Spray or roll on air/water barriers, mix basecoat/adhesive material, and apply fiberglass mesh. Hand apply adhesive mesh to parts and use a trowel for base and finish coats. Follow the daily production schedule set by the Production Supervisor and complete final sanding and touch-up.

Work as part of a team to run parts through extrusion equipment and oversee finish coat applications. Achieve consistent, uniform texture and color across panels to meet specifications. Perform quality control inspections for mix consistency, imperfections, and curing times.

Provide guidance and feedback in technical discussions, fabrication planning, and equipment specifications. Assist with inventory counts, shipping preparation, and safety requirements including OSHA guidelines. Participate in continuous improvement activities and implement lean practices.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a journeyman plasterer
  • Experience in the application of stucco and Dryvit brand products preferred
  • Knowledge of the construction industry, including products, tools, equipment, and terminology
  • Ability to read and follow plans/blueprints
  • Ability to apply standard measurements
  • Proficiency with trowels, spray equipment, and mixing paddles
  • Familiarity with EIFS and continuous insulation panels
