Cordoba Corporation seeks a Senior Construction Manager for its Facilities Sector. This role manages scope, cost, schedule, and operational interfaces for all design and construction activities. The candidate ensures schedule certainty, budget delivery, and quality standards while enforcing a strong health, safety, and environmental culture.

Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring on-site field construction activities and ensuring compliance with approved work plans and Area Shutdown Requests. The manager works with contractors and stakeholders to develop overall planning of construction activities and identify critical milestones.

The role involves close coordination with LAWA operations, trade partners, and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to LAWA standards. The manager participates in coordination meetings and reviews contractor potential change order claims for merit. A strong focus on risk mitigation and preventive action is essential to meet critical milestones.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale airport projects with values exceeding $100 million. The Senior Construction Manager will support development and implementation of design, construction, testing, and commissioning plans. Multiple positions are anticipated, allowing for career advancement within a leading engineering firm.

Requirements

  • 10 years or more experience, preferably on airport projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience with projects with a value of more than $100 million.
  • Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR, and Design/Build.
  • Proven ability to perform in a management capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all on-site field construction activities associated with the completion of the project.
  • Ensure construction operations follow approved work plans and Area Shutdown Requests (ASRs) and all proper notifications are made.
  • Review Contractor Potential Change Order Claims for merit and negotiate to final resolution.
  • Monitor budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
  • Prepare periodic reports summarizing the progress of construction activities for higher-level management and clients.
  • Ensure the use of sound and safe construction practices to attain required quality control at maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
  • Coordinate with Construction Contractor and stakeholders to develop overall planning of construction activities and identify critical milestones.
