You will create and influence safety culture as a mentor and model, participating in the district safety committee. You provide overall leadership for several small projects or one very large complex project, accountable for safety, budget, quality, schedule, and profitability. You oversee construction to ensure it aligns with design, budget, and schedule.

You lead to secure new work as part of the core pursuit and preconstruction team, contributing to estimates, proposals, and presentations. You monitor design deliverable schedules to facilitate permits, procurement, and construction. You also supervise, direct, train, and mentor your project team across multiple sites.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar leadership role in building trades.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and ability to influence safety culture.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or a single large complex project with accountability for budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Experience in preconstruction activities including estimating, proposals, and client presentations.
  • Familiarity with design management, permitting, procurement, and commissioning processes.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills to supervise and develop project teams.
  • Experience attending design management meetings and coordinating with prime consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and influences safety culture as a mentor and model; participates in district safety committee and influences corporate safety policy and procedures.
  • Provides overall leadership and support for several small projects or one very large project with high complexity; accountable for safety, budget, quality, schedule, and profitability.
  • Oversees projects to ensure construction is as per design, budget, and schedule.
  • Leads to secure new work by participating as part of core pursuit/preconstruction team to contribute to estimate, proposal, and/or presentation.
  • Monitors and manages design deliverable schedule to facilitate permits, procurement, shop drawings, off-site production, construction, and commissioning.
  • Attends design management meetings led by the prime consultant, communicating PCL's needs and requirements, and escalates issues for resolution.
  • Supervises, directs, trains, and mentors project team, including direct and indirect reports on the same or multiple sites.
