About this role
Cardo Group is a leading provider of building maintenance and improvement services to social housing providers and public bodies across the UK. We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Bricklayer to join our team in Caerphilly. The role involves constructing and repairing walls, buildings, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials.
Daily responsibilities include measuring and marking surfaces, mixing mortar, laying bricks in rows, patterns, or designs, and cutting materials to fit around windows and doors. You will use hand and power tools to shape bricks, repair existing structures, and always follow safety procedures and guidelines. Attention to detail ensures high-quality work on retrofit, repairs, and refurbishment projects.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of bricklaying techniques and materials
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy materials
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with bricks or other materials
- Mix mortar and spread it onto surfaces to be covered
- Lay bricks or other materials in rows, patterns, or designs
- Cut or trim bricks and other materials to fit around windows, doors, and other openings
- Use hand and power tools to cut and shape bricks and other materials
- Repair and maintain existing brick structures
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times
