About this role

Responsible for coordination and monitoring of field construction administration on aviation projects at a major international airport. Ensure compliance with drawings and specifications, within budget, and on schedule for projects of $100M or greater.
Coordinates project activities, establishes priorities, and assigns staff to jobs. Prepares Summary Inspection Report of daily activities and monitors contractor progress against schedules. Resolves technical field issues and coordinates with Architects and Engineers for timely responses to requests for information.
Oversees project controls, reviews contractor schedules and submittals for conformance. Implements HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach, leads project management plan execution. Supervises and mentors team to achieve overall project objectives and identifies non-compliant work.
Partners with Client Service Leaders for business development on mini-mega and mega projects using Sophisticated Sales Approach. Leads proposal development and interview presentations. May handle recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of construction staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or relevant degree and 10 years relevant experience
- In lieu of education, 14 years of relevant experience
- Experience winning, contracting, and delivering 4for4 (on-time, on-budget, quality, client satisfaction) on multi-disciplined projects
- Leading teams on mid-sized and/or moderately complex projects using sub-consultants
- Identifying and handling risk and change management on aviation construction projects
- Providing interpretation and enforcement of contract plans and specifications
Responsibilities
- Develop project scope and fee quotation and assist in preparation of technical proposals and contracts using Sophisticated Contracting Approach
- Coordinate project activities, establish priorities, and assign staff to jobs
- Prepare Summary Inspection Report of daily activities and monitor contractor progress against schedule
- Oversee project controls, review contractor schedules, and resolve technical field issues
- Review submittals for conformance to plans and specifications
- Implement project delivery plan using Sophisticated Delivery Approach and lead project management plan
- Confirm change order requests, develop estimates, negotiate costs, and write change orders
- Partner with Client Service Leaders for business development and lead proposals for mega projects
