U.S. Engineering Innovations leads the industry through constant innovation and willingness to evolve. The Preconstruction Manager is an integral part of the project development group. Under the Director of Preconstruction Services, manage project designs and budgets from inception through preconstruction phase.
Day-to-day involves conceptually finishing incomplete designs for competitive proposals and generating engineering calculations. Assist with value engineering options, schematic drawings, and coordination on design-assist projects. Serve as a resource for Project Managers and Field personnel throughout construction.
Partner with Project Operations to review schedules, develop preliminary mechanical timelines, and track scope changes. Generate budget estimates from incomplete information and maintain estimating databases. Collaborate with Owners, General Contractors, Architects, and Engineers on solutions.
Foster client relationships and support marketing for design-build projects. Participate in developing marketing materials with professionals. Thrive in a dynamic workplace where team members influence change and make an impact.
Requirements
- Ability to complete designs from incomplete documents for proposals
- Proficiency in generating and reviewing engineering calculations
- Experience assisting value engineering and design options in construction
- Knowledge of schematic drawings and system coordination
- Skills in estimating budgets from preliminary design information
- Familiarity with critical path scheduling and mechanical project timelines
- Capability to coordinate with Owners, General Contractors, Architects, and Engineers
- Understanding of design-assist and design-build project delivery
Responsibilities
